Coach Anthony
Coach Anthony is the head coach of Saints Baseball and also a dedicated pitching coach with extensive experience at both the collegiate and high school levels. A 2019 graduate of Saugus High School, he continued his baseball career at the NCAA Division II level, playing four years at California State University, Stanislaus, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He then transferred to Charleston Southern University, playing Division I baseball while earning his Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Over his collegiate career, Coach Ramirez posted a 2.83 ERA across 140.1 innings pitched, recording 123 strikeouts. His ability to command the mound and compete at a high level has translated into his coaching philosophy, emphasizing discipline, pitch development, and mental toughness.
Currently, Coach Anthony is the Varsity Pitching Coach at Saugus High School, where he is committed to developing young pitchers and helping them reach their full potential. Coach Ray actually played soccer in college instead of baseball, which might come as a surprise given his extensive background in baseball during his high school years. Coach Ray has been deeply involved in coaching for the past 9 1/2 years, focusing on nurturing young talent in both high school junior varsity soccer and travel baseball. His commitment to these sports has allowed him to impart his knowledge and passion to aspiring athletes, helping them develop their skills and love for the game.
On a personal note, Coach Ray is happily married and has two boys, Cayden, who is 14, and Charlie, who is 11. Both the boys will attend Saugus High School in the upcoming years.
